Versatile cell biologist with background in neuroscience, immunology, bioinformatics and virology. My previous research expertise is in studying neurodegeneration using in vivo and in vitro models of disease and applying cutting edge single-cell transcriptomics to both mouse and human samples. Currently Im dedicated to advancing single-cell transcriptomic assays and pioneering cost-effective multiplexing methods

Played a key role in the development and optimization of the company’s core single-cell RNA sequencing platform, contributing from early research through product launch and facilitated technical transfer between research and development groups to ensure robust assay performance and scalability.
Developed and refined new applications for on-market kits including the ScalePlex sample multiplexing kit and CRISPR compatibility application, through collaboration with early access customers and external partners.
Generated application notes, technical documentation, and customer-facing collateral to support the commercial team and promote new use cases.
Acted as Technical Lead and subject matter expert (SME) for the on market RNA portfolio, overseeing internal training, coordinating kit QC with Manufacturing and Ops, and partnering with the FAS team and product management to support customers and drive product improvements.
Led the internal coordination of the 100M Cell Initiative, developing the operational framework and overseeing the expansion of the internal services team to process samples from dozens of labs worldwide on the new high-throughput single-cell RNA sequencing platform.

Led an NIH SCORCH consortium project using single-cell multiomics (scRNA-seq and scATAC-seq) and spatial transcriptomics to characterize CNS and immune cell populations from ~100 human brain samples, investigating the interplay between HIV infection and opioid use disorder.
Developed and implemented single cell multiplexing strategies to reduce cost and increase throughput, enabling broader experimental designs across conditions and timepoints.

In January my mentor's lab moved from the University of Utah to UC Irvine where I will be finishing my dissertation research.
In addition to finishing my dissertation research at UC Irvine, I have led multiple collaboration projects with biotechnology companies to use our mouse coronavirus model of neurodegeneration to test therapeutics and new technologies for efficacy in fighting the COVID pandemic.
